Tristan is a double and electric bassist, electronic musician and producer based in Melbourne, Australia. After completing an Honours degree in Jazz Performance at The University of Adelaide, he relocated to Melbourne in 2007. He completed a Master of Fine Arts (Interactive Composition) at The University of Melbourne in 2020.
Writing and performing with alternative rock outfit Blackchords, the album *A Thin Line* went on to attract many millions of streams and generate a worldwide following, after tracks were featured in hit international television shows such as Shameless, Suits, Orange is the New Black, Teen Wolf and Offspring.
As a double and electric bassist Tristan continues to work with some of Australia’s best loved alternative and emerging rock and folk acts, including The Tiger and Me, Gallie, Aine Tyrrell, Mijo Biscan and Phil Ceberano, regularly performing at festivals such as The National Folk Festival (ACT), Port Fairy Folk Festival (VIC), The Blue Mountains Folk Festival (NSW) and the Nannup Music Festival(WA).
As an electronic artist, Tristan has performed regularly at festivals such as Rainbow Serpent festival (VIC) as well as live music venues around Australia. Working with composers Lior Attar and Ade Vincent, he performed electronics with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra for the premiere of the work 'Forever Singing Winter Into Spring'.
