These opportunities are designed to support creative potential, ease financial pressure, and help you concentrate on developing your craft and career pathway.

• International Scholarship 

You must:  

• Be enrolled full-time (exceptions may apply)
• Meet standard entry requirements for your chosen course 

Submit a portfolio before the deadline 

• It must demonstrate creative work relevant to your chosen course
• Portfolio may include digital portfolio link, PDF, showreel, photography folio and writing samples.
• File upload to be link or PDF 

Submit a statement (maximum 300 words) to support your portfolio submission 

• Why you are applying for the Dean’s Academic Excellence Scholarship
• How your portfolio demonstrates your creative strengths and potential
• What you hope to achieve at Collarts 
• How you will contribute to the Collarts community 

You must:  

• Be enrolled full-time as a domestic student
• Meet standard entry requirements for your chosen course, complete all required admission steps
• Self-identify as experiencing financial hardship and or educational disadvantage under one or more priority equity categories 

Students may be eligible if they identify with one or more of the following:

• Regional or remote background
• Caring responsibilities (for children, immediate family members)
• First in family to undertake higher education
• Aboriginal and or Torres Strait Islander (First Nations)
• LGBTQIA+
• Refugee or asylum seeker background
• Disability and or neurodivergence
• Recently arrived migrant experiencing hardship
• Housing insecurity
• Significant family circumstances are creating financial or personal barriers to study
• Other circumstances impacting access to education (as assessed by Collarts) 

To ensure fairness and consistency, students must submit a short statement (maximum 300 words) outlining: 

• The barriers you are currently facing
• How the scholarship would support your ability to commence and continue study 
• What success at Collarts would look like for you

Supporting documentation may be requested only where required for verification, and may include (where relevant):

• Evidence of a regional or remote address
• Evidence of caring responsibilities
• Disability support registration or relevant documentation
• Evidence of refugee or asylum seeker status
• Other documentation that supports the student’s circumstances 

Demonstrated level of need 

• The student’s circumstances indicate a genuine barrier to commencing or continuing study without support
• Evidence of financial pressure and or disadvantage impacting access to education 

Likelihood of impact 

• Scholarship is likely to directly improve the student’s ability to commence their studies
• Support is expected to contribute to retention through the trimester 

Readiness to commence and engage 

• Student has progressed through admissions and is ready to commence study
• Student demonstrates intent and follow-through (enrolment confirmed) 

Awarding approach  

• Scholarships are limited and competitive. 
• Awarded at the discretion of Collarts, based on priority need and impact. 
• Recommended to apply a simple scoring rubric to ensure consistent assessment. 
• Scholarships are intended to support students who may otherwise not commence without assistance. 

Exclusions and conditions 

• Scholarship applies to trimester 1 tuition fees only unless otherwise approved. 
• One scholarship per student unless approved as an exception. 
• Collarts reserves the right to withdraw the scholarship if the student withdraws prior to the census date. 

This Scholarship is for students who are progressing from one Collarts course to another, to support you in your further study.  

• 10% tuition scholarship 

Eligibility criteria 

You must:  

• Be a current Collarts student 
• Progress from one Collarts course to another, from these options: 
  • a VET course to an undergraduate course 
  • an undergraduate course to another undergraduate course
  • an undergraduate course to a post-graduate course  

• Meet standard entry requirements 

• Have an IELTS score of 7.0 overall or equivalent with no band below 6.0, or have a GPA of 75% or above in your previous studies
• Submit a 300-word (maximum) statement along with your application explaining why you should be awarded the scholarship
• Scholarship is only available to applicants from specific regions.

Successful scholarship recipients must 

• Comply with their visa conditions and obligations as Collarts students
• Pay their fees on time
• Maintain a credit (65%) average or above in their Collarts studies

• The scholarship type and amount will be outlined in the Letter of Offer.
• Only one type of scholarship is permitted per student. If a student receives Recognition of Prior Learning, the scholarship amount will vary based on the credits granted.
• Scholarships may not apply to any course changes during the study period if this results in additional trimesters.
• Collarts may increase fees each calendar year by a certain percentage, and fees quoted in offer letters are approximate only.
• All scholarship information is subject to change, and final confirmation should be obtained directly from Collarts.
• Scholarships are not redeemable for cash.
• Collarts reserves the right to change, withhold, or alter any scholarship terms, amounts, or conditions if permitted by policy or regulation.
